Dr. Rene Thierbach, Medical Director at the German Army hospital in Koblenz: "aMMP-8 was an important parameter in our research for the documentation of treatment successes. Regular yearly or half-yearly monitoring with an aMMP-8 rapid test should be applied routinely in follow-up examinations of dental implants."

The significance of aMMP-8 diagnostics

MMP-8 (matrix metalloproteinase-8, also known as collagenase-2) is an endogenous, tissue and bone-degrading enzyme that has no impact on a person's health when inactive. It  is normally present in the body and part of the natural metabolism.

The PerioMarker®

rapid test reveals hidden inflammations. It can identify the risk even before any clinical signs become visible, such as irreversible destruction of periodontal tissue and jawbones or loosening of teeth.
