For dentists: ImplantMarker aMMP-8 Rapid Test for implant check-ups

The implant marker aMMP-8 Rapid Test is the world's only rapid test that allows collagenolytic activity to be proven and monitored right at the implant. This non-invasive rapid test should be carried out routinely as part of the biannual check-up. By diagnosing incipient inflammations in time, treatment can begin earlier and will be more effective. The test can be carried out in less than 10 minutes by the dental hygienist. A positive result indicates a higher risk of dangerous inflammatory tissue degeneration processes in the jawbone carrying the implant.

The aMMP-8 implant marker rapid test is a lateral flow immunoassay (dip stick) for the analysis of peri-implant sulcus fluid samples. The test is manufactured by dentognostics and will be marketed through leading implant manufacturers and providers of implant maintenance products. ImplantMarker aMMP-8 Rapid Test is not yet available for sale. Market introduction in 2012.
